MLB 2019 Preview

Image
By Colin Dixon Picture Via @Angels Twitter The 2019 Major League Baseball season is coming up very soon and I cannot wait! Below will be a preview for every single team plus predictions for some of the end of the season awards. AL WEST Los Angeles Angels The Angels are going into 2019 with hopes of not wasting another year from Mike Trout's prime. They made some key additions to the roster with Matt Harvey, Trevor Cahill, Cody Allen, Jonathan Lucroy, and Justin Bour. The Angels will be an older team but will be a team that can make a playoff run if they stay healthy. For the Angels it will be up to the pitching staff and how consistent they will be in day in and day out. They have a powerful offense but will need stellar pitching if any Playoff run is coming for the Halos.  Houston Astros  The Astros had an earlier exit from the Playoffs then they were expecting but with almost all starters returning the Astros will be back in contention for another World Serie

Today all free agents are allowed to sign and all trades are official. Many big faces have already found new places and the league continues to pay big contracts to the super stars who are hitting Free Agency. Starting with 2 of the best Wide Receivers in the league Antonio Brown was finally granted his trade request and will be repping the Silver and Black next season with the Oakland Raiders. As well, Odell Beckham Jr. was traded by the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns. This trade shocked the entire NFL world and now the Browns are set to become playoff contenders just two years after going 0-16. Sticking to trades, many trades went unseen wh

What does this mean for Mike Trout?

Image
By Colin Dixon March 1st, 2019 Picture Via @MLBStats Twitter Yesterday Bryce Harper signed the largest contract in American Sports history, of $330 Million for 13 years with the Philadelphia Phillies. But what does this mean for Mike Trout? Trout who is just one year older than Bryce Harper will hit Free Agency in 2 years and will most likely be the one to sign a larger contract than Harper. Trout and Harper have gone at it as the best young phenoms in baseball for the past 7-8 years. But it is obvious who the best player of the two is. Trout has dominated the league ever since winning Rookie of the Year in 2012. He is a 7-time All-Star who has won the MVP twice. He has been ranked the Number 1 player in the MLB multiple years in a row by MLB Network and is entering this season with the same feat. Trout who has 1,187 Hits, 240 Home Runs, and 648 RBIs in his career so far, which is better than any stat Bryce Harper has is expected to break the bank when he hits Free Agency.
