The Blue Devils Jump Into The Number 1 Ranking

Coming into the 2018-2019 basketball season the Duke Blue Devils were all the hype. They were bringing in the number 1 recruiting class from the class of 2018 with the number 1,2, and 3 players in the nation. 
Those 3 players were Rj Barrett, Zion Williamson, and Cam Reddish and all three of them have made a tremendous impact so far this season. Along with those top 3 recruits, the Blue Devils brought in another freshman phenom in Tre Jones who is playing point guard this year for the Devils. 
Coach K has always had good teams and has won multiple championships but this could be his best team ever. Although this team is filled with multiple one and done guys, all of America will be watching to see if the Blue Devils hype is real. 
So far this year Duke is 2-0 with a big win over then #2 Kentucky 118-84 and another big win vs Army 94-72. The Blue Devils started this year at #4 but leaped all the way into the number 1 slot after an exciting start to the season. 
The human highlight reel, Zion Williamson, has done nothing but live up to the hype so far this season. He is averaging 27.5 points through the first two games and has had 7 total blocks so far. As Well Williamson leads the ACC in field goal percentage at 81.5% from the field. 
Mr. Williamson is not the only stand out player the Blue Devils have. As well, they have RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish. Barrett was the only player above Williamson on the ESPN top 300 players from the class of 2018 and he is playing high-quality basketball so far as well. Barrett is leading the ACC with 28 points per game and Reddish in 4th with 23.5 points per game. 
If Duke's top 3 freshmen keep playing with this intensity and productivity, the Blue Devils might never be beaten. Don't forget that on top of having the best 3 players in the country the Blue Devils have the best coach in all of the NCAA. 
Although it is only 2 games into the season the Duke Blue Devils are looking like they are the real deal and they also look like they have the potential to be the best team to ever step foot on a College Basketball court. 
The next Blue Devils game comes tomorrow Wednesday, November 14th against Eastern Michigan, and they will look to keep their high powered offense rolling and prove why they deserved that number 1 ranking.

Here was a frame by frame of the bat flip which was used from the Chicago White Sox Twitter. Anderson's bat flip blew up all over social media with people praising his use of emotion but his opponents were not a fan of the bat flip. Later in the game when Anderson stepped up to the plate to lead of the Sixth Inning, Royals Pitcher Brad Keller drilled him with a fastball in the first pitch of the at-bat. Anderson looked visibly mad so Royals Catcher Martin Maldonado got in his way and tried to prevent him from starting any sort of brawl. Colin's Daily Picks Feb. 19

By Colin Dixon, Feb. 19, 2020 To start my parlay failed me as both soccer teams lost so therefore it did not hit. Next Penn State ended up losing to Illinois and lost all the hype they brought their way. But on the back end of the slate Kentucky did end up beating LSU which was huge as an underdog then Florida State covered their large spread at home. So I went 2/3 on spreads and my parlay did not hit but I am back for more. GAME 1 Syracuse @ #11 Louisville -9.0  This will be Louisville's first game since losing two games last week. One of those against Clemson where I got to rush the court... again. Louisville is good but can get rattled easily and I saw that first time, but they will not be pressed at home where they are comfortable. The Cardinals need to go out there and make a statement when they play Syracuse. Syracuse is legit as well but the Orange will not be enough on Wednesday night.
