Rest In Peace Tyler Skaggs

By Colin Dixon, July 1st Picture Via @Angels Twitter On Monday, July 1st the Baseball world was shaken by the news that Angels Starting Pitcher Tyler Skaggs had passed away at the age of 27. Skaggs and the Angels had just traveled from Los Angeles to Arlington, Texas to start a four-game series on Monday against the Rangers.  This morning at the Angels team hotel Skaggs was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene. With this tragic event taking place the game between the Angels and Rangers was canceled and will be scheduled later in the future.  Only 10 years ago the Angels lost another young Starting Pitcher by the name of Nick Adenhart who was killed in a car crash at the beginning of the 2009 season.  10 years ago when Adenhart was killed I was only 8 years old and about to turn 9. I was saddened to hear what happened to the young pitcher Adenhart but I did not truly understand what I understand now. Skaggs death hit closer to home...

Colin's Daily Picks Feb. 19

By Colin Dixon, Feb. 19, 2020 To start my parlay failed me as both soccer teams lost so therefore it did not hit. Next Penn State ended up losing to Illinois and lost all the hype they brought their way. But on the back end of the slate Kentucky did end up beating LSU which was huge as an underdog then Florida State covered their large spread at home. So I went 2/3 on spreads and my parlay did not hit but I am back for more. GAME 1 Syracuse @ #11 Louisville -9.0  This will be Louisville's first game since losing two games last week. One of those against Clemson where I got to rush the court... again. Louisville is good but can get rattled easily and I saw that first time, but they will not be pressed at home where they are comfortable. The Cardinals need to go out there and make a statement when they play Syracuse. Syracuse is legit as well but the Orange will not be enough on Wednesday night. College Football Bowl Picks

By Colin Dixon, December 26th 2019 Picture Via @AggieFootball Twitter College Football bowl season is upon us and yes it already started but there is still lots of football to be played. This will be the last post of the season and I really did enjoy writing each and every one of these. Below will be my bowl picks, I am super excited for each of these games and super excited for the college football playoff which is on Saturday. GAME 1: Michigan State -4.0 vs Wake Forest (Dec 27th) When I first looked at this line I was amazed that the Spartans were favored. Sparty did play a much tougher schedule than Wake Forest but the Demon Deacons have looked like a much better team all season. I do not have too much insight into this game besides I am not a believer in the Michigan State football program and I am in the ACC. MY PICK: WAKE FOREST +4.0  GAME 2: #25 Oklahoma State +5.5 vs Texas A&M (Dec 27th) No Texas A&M has not beaten a single team with a winning record and...
