Recently the New York Giants owner John Mara was interviewed and he told NFL.com's Judy Batista that he "Wishes he would make his headlines on the field instead of off." (Regarding Odell Beckham Jr.)
Beckham Jr. stormed back into headlines after leaving the field early before the first half was over and not being back on the sideline to start the second half in the Giants 34-13 loss to the Eagles on last Thursday Night.
Pat Shurmur the Giants Head Coach  said that Beckham Jr. was getting an IV because he was dehydrated.
Dehydration was not Beckham Jr.'s only problem on Thursday Night, his offense was held to 13 points and Eli Manning is still struggling to find Beckham Jr. the ball in big play situations.
Beckham Jr. has 45 receptions in 6 games this year with 1 touchdown. Last year where Beckham Jr. missed the majority of the season only had 25 receptions and 3 touchdowns.
Beckham Jr. may be on pace to beat his career high in catches but his touchdown percentage is way lower then it has to be for the Giants offense to be dominant.
After receiving the highest paying Wide-Receiver contract in the history of the NFL worth as much as $95 Million, is Beckham Jr. really the problem?
Many people have seen how Beckham Jr. has acted on the sidelines at Giants games and he does not look happy. Not just on the sideline but outside of football Beckham Jr. has voiced his opinion on the disaster of the New York Giants.
Now in his 5th year in the league he is a player that should not have to be a leader in the locker room but he is expected to lead the 1-5 Giants to the promise land.
Beckham Jr. has always shown emotion on the sidelines but his passion for the game is no different from a player like Tom Brady. Brady shows just as much emotion on the sidelines as Beckham Jr. does but he is looked at as a competitor and someone who wants to win. On the other side Beckham Jr. is looked at as someone who is a cry baby and needs to get his act together.
I believe that Beckham Jr. is not a problem he is just in a mess of an organization who try's to lean on an unexperienced leader when there are veteran coaches and players who have more knowledge about leading a team than he does.
John Mara should go back to worrying more about how his organization is being ran than how his best player is acting.
