Very Sad Day in the World of Sports

Image
By Colin Dixon Jan. 26 Picture Via @LakerNation Twitter Kobe Bryant passed away today. I cannot even believe that I just typed those words. I am in shock. The entire sports world is in shock. A very sad day. Earlier today, Bryant along with four others were in a helicopter as it tumbled down and crashed. Nobody in the aircraft made it out alive. There are many speculations on who was with him in the helicopter, but I will not speculate on who else was taken by this tragedy. Kobe Bryant, he is not just a sports legend, he is a world-renowned icon. I have have been alive when celebrities or even major athletes pass away but this one hits a little deeper and a little harder than anything ever has for me. After hearing this news I did not want to believe it, I did not want to even consider what the world would be without Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant was the definition of working hard, he was the definition of being a grinder, someone who will not let anybody else be better than him...

College Football Bowl Picks

Image
By Colin Dixon, December 26th 2019 Picture Via @AggieFootball Twitter College Football bowl season is upon us and yes it already started but there is still lots of football to be played. This will be the last post of the season and I really did enjoy writing each and every one of these. Below will be my bowl picks, I am super excited for each of these games and super excited for the college football playoff which is on Saturday. GAME 1: Michigan State -4.0 vs Wake Forest (Dec 27th) When I first looked at this line I was amazed that the Spartans were favored. Sparty did play a much tougher schedule than Wake Forest but the Demon Deacons have looked like a much better team all season. I do not have too much insight into this game besides I am not a believer in the Michigan State football program and I am in the ACC. MY PICK: WAKE FOREST +4.0  GAME 2: #25 Oklahoma State +5.5 vs Texas A&M (Dec 27th) No Texas A&M has not beaten a single team with a winning record and...

College Football Championship Week Picks

Image
By Colin Dixon, December 4th 2019 Picture Via @OhioStateFB Twitter The time has finally came, it is Championship Week and I cannot be more ready to go. This may or may not be the last set of picks for the year based on what my schedule is upcoming with me moving around and going to my new home. Anyways this upcoming week is filled with a great slate of football with teams battling out for the conference championships. But before we get into I need to give my update on how I did last week. I ended up getting back to my old ways and going 6-4. My four losses were because Illinois could not handle the hype and actually lost to Northwestern, then Minnesota as well could not handle any sort of hype and lost to Wisconsin as Dawgs, then Tennessee did not fail like the other teams but they just did not cover, and then lastly the Arizona State Sun Devils won their game by 10 and not 14 but thats okay another positive week in the books. My Championship Week picks are below but there are onl...

What Is Going On With The Rams?

Image
By Colin Dixon, November 29th 2019 Picture Via @RamsNFL Twitter It has been a while since I wrote about my Rams but the time has finally come. This year has been a mess and I am truly at a loss for words on what is going on. They sit at 6-5 entering week 13 and they are coming off as brutal of a loss as possible when they lost to the Ravens 45-6. A couple weeks ago, maybe even just a couple days ago I would have told you the Rams only problem was their QB Jared Goff who has been awful but their defense was just exposed in ways they have never been before. Entering Monday Night they had statistically been the best defense in November but they gave up double what they had given up all month on Monday Night. I get it Lamar Jackson is the MVP and not many teams have had an answer to stopping him, but 45 points in unacceptable. Jackson threw 5 touchdowns and he is supposed to just be a running QB and I get it he has been amazing throwing this year but the have a top 5 corner in Jal...

College Football week #14 Picks

Image
By Colin Dixon, November 28th 2019 Picture Via @IlliniFootball Twitter Rivalry week is here and I am so excited! One of the best weeks of college football every year with all the emotion and all the battles that go down in history. This set of picks comes a day later and on the great holiday of Thanksgiving and one of the things I am very thankful for is football. Last week was another great week of betting for myself and I went 7-2-1 in the picks last week. Oklahoma State won by 7 and their line was 7 so that was my push, then Fresno State blew their 14 point lead, and lastly in the Hawaii vs SDSU game it was 14-10 and the O/U was 49 so that sucked. Either way only 2 losses is great! Here is my rivalry week picks below: GAME 1: #3 Clemson -27.5 @ South Carolina I do not have much to say besides this means war and my Tigers will not back down from their rival that they have blasted in the past and will continue to do it this Saturday. GO TIGERS!! MY PICK: ALL IN -27.5  G...
